Pre-operational Sentinel-3 snow and ice products (SICE) is a 12 month contract (4000125043/18/I-NB) spanning year 2019.
SICE is to deliver an automated open source processing chain using Sentinel-3 OLCI and SLSTR data to determine a dry/wet snow and clean/polluted bare ice spectral and broadband optical albedo 1 km daily product for land ice (glaciers, ice caps, ice sheet).

This project starts providing processors to generate snow and ice optical products for the land ice cryosphere and snow covered areas, that extend the coverage of NASA MODIS data into the future now with Sentinel-3A operating since Oct 2016 and Sentinel-3B also now operating.
